Frances 1980s

Everything in the 80s was big: hair, shoulder pads and the mixing-and-matching of jewellery to make bold statements. Striking jewellery pieces were in and Frances is certainly that.

She was inspired by the ring made famous by Princess Diana in 1981 and has been a recognisable design ever since.

This stunning hand-crafted ring is designed and made by Bill, our Manufacturing Goldsmith, and is made of platinum and 18ct yellow gold, with a 4.63ct Madagascan sapphire, surrounded by 1.80 carats of diamonds.

Frances is a ring that will never fade with the sunset or when the rain sets in.

Taranaki in the 80s: In 1985, after 66 years in business and contributing massively to the New Plymouth community, Dalgleish Jewellers entered a new and exciting chapter with the change in ownership from the Dalgleish family.
